A lot of hesitation around starting TRT comes down to simple uncertainty — not knowing what the process actually involves. That uncertainty is reasonable, and the only real fix for it is a clear walkthrough of what actually happens. Here’s the honest version, start to finish.

Already have labs from the last 6 months?

Good news — your consultation is free. Your physician will review your existing results and discuss whether treatment makes sense at no charge.

Before the Visit

You’ll fill out a health history form covering your symptoms, medical background, current medications, and goals. If you have labs from the last six months, you’ll have the option to upload them. If you don’t, that’s fine — you’ll just move forward without them and your physician will determine what to order. There’s no requirement to have anything in hand before booking.

The consultation itself is $99, applied toward your first month if you move forward with treatment. If you already have qualifying labs from the last six months, the consultation is free.

During the Visit

This is a real conversation, not a script. Your physician will go through your symptom history in detail — not just whether you have low energy, but how long it’s been going on, what’s changed, and what else might be contributing. Sleep, stress, training history, and other medications all factor into the picture.

If you have labs, they’ll be reviewed in that context — not in isolation. If you don’t, your physician will order what’s needed based on your symptoms: typically total and free testosterone, SHBG, LH, FSH, estradiol, a CBC, and a metabolic panel, with PSA added for men over 40 or with relevant family history.

By the end of the visit, you’ll know whether TRT is appropriate, what the labs showed (if you had them) or what to expect next (if you’re waiting on a draw), and what the proposed plan looks like — including formulation options and starting dose.

Not sure where to start?

Your $99 consultation includes a full clinical review and lab order — so you leave with actual answers, not just a conversation.

After the Visit

If labs were needed, you’ll get instructions for a draw — typically through Quest Diagnostics or a similarly accessible option near you. Once results are in, your physician reviews them and follows up with a final treatment plan.

If you’re starting treatment, medication is coordinated through a licensed pharmacy and typically arrives within several business days. You’ll have a follow-up scheduled at six to eight weeks to check labs again and adjust your dose based on how you’re responding — this isn’t a set-it-and-forget-it prescription.

Common Questions

How long does the first visit take? Most initial consultations run 20–30 minutes. It’s not rushed, but it’s also not padded with unnecessary back-and-forth.

Do I need to be on camera? Telehealth visits are typically video-based, though specific requirements can vary by state regulation. Your physician will let you know what's needed for your situation.

What if my labs show I don’t need TRT? Then that's the answer, and your physician will explain what the labs actually show and discuss alternative explanations if your symptoms persist. The goal is an accurate answer, not a sale.
